A Little About Me

My greatest role in life is Mom/wife. I am blessed to have such a wonderful and supportive family. I recently retired after over 30 years as a pharmacist, much of it in the neonatal ICU, where I used my passion for drug safety to help the tiniest of patients. My review article on Tourette Syndrome was published in The Journal of Pediatric Pharmacology and Therapeutics in 2020. When I’m not working on my YA Fantasy or nonfiction handbook for authors (on realistic ways to write perilous drug scenes), I spend my time training for triathlons (Ironman AZ 2017 Finisher), volunteering, making my secret recipe 3rd generation Scottish shortbread (I’m a MacGregor, after all), and traveling- to see the kids, or course! I’m also a microbrew aficionado, married to a national beer judge and brag several fridges in the house dedicated to fermenting and “The Craft.”
